Baby Sling Ring Guide
  
Sling rings (which are the buckles for the sling) are specifically designed for slings and can withstand several hundred pounds of weight and lock into place (just like a seat-belt buckle). You have a choice between aluminum or metal rings.

There are a few differences between them, but they all are really a matter of personal preference, since they are both specifically designed for slings anyway:

Silver (lightweight aluminum rings):
* Very lightweight
* Have a “sleek” look to them.

Shiny silver (lightweight metal rings):
* Shiny silver in color
* Only a tad bit heavier than the aluminum; but still very lightweight none-the-less.
* These rings have a sort of “classy” look to them.
